Our Meursault 2010 is a blend of different village vineyards in Meursault, a.o.'Les Grands Charrons' adjacent to the premier cru 'Le Goutte d'Or' and 'Les Pelles', with a slighty richer soil. It's another great JanotsBos Meursault.
When we made these tasting notes, autumn 2013, the Meursault was still young. Nonetheless we could easily see the potential. The Meursault showed nice floral notes, 'brioche', apricot and Granny Smith apples. On the palate the power of this full-bodied wine was clear. We expect to see the real potential of this wine in 2015. The Meursault 2011 was awarded two stars in the Guide Hachette 2015.
The aftertaste is very long, with a fantastic balance between the ripeness, the power and the acidity. You can enjoy this wine for years to come!
Combine it with asparagus, salmon, jambon blanc, stroganoff, langoustines and lobster. Or try it with Camemberts or fromage bleu. The classic combination with Brie is great. Serve it at 12 to 14°C. These dishes combine very well with our Bourgogne Blanc as well.
